Cooking Vacations
in Catalonia, Spain.

In the afternoon
we will go to a small mediterranean port to see the fishing-boats arrival,
and how the fishermen display the capture and sell. After a winery visit and
a wine tasting, we will go for dinner in a traditional catalan place where
you will have an assortment of traditional "tapas" (snacks).
An english-speaking
guide will meet you in the afternoon at the airport, or train station of Barcelona
and will take you to your hotel in the beautiful countryside near Girona.
After a rest he will meet you at the hotel's lounge where you will be explained
about the tour. Then you will have a welcome dinner prepared by your chef
Vicenc, who will also be in charge of the cooking lessons.
After a complete
breakfast at the hotel, we will visit Dali's Castle-Museum in the medieval
village Pubol.
In preparation
for a unique tasting menu in a starred restaurant ( nș5 in the world from
the "Restaurant Magazine" ), we will take you to the hotel for a relaxation
by the pool. Lunch on your own (our clients usually prefer to rest).
For the last
evening of your tour we will take you to one of the best restaurants :
El Celler de Can Roca. 2 Michelin Stars. Chef Joan Roca is in charge
of all main dishes. His brother Josep Roca is a master sommelier, and the
third brother is in charge of the desserts.

After a full
breakfast at the hotel, we will take you to your train station, airport or
hotel and, hoping that you have spent a wonderfull week with us.
DAY 1
After a full
breakfast at the hotel we will visit a Chef in his chocolate factory where
you will taste an assortment of chocolate "bombons", to appreciate his art.
Then we will see the process of how to make cheese with a small producer.
Also we will visit the unique Iberian Village of Ullastret, where lived the
first inhabitants of the area. For
lunch we will go to a traditional Catalan restaurant, very "terroir" orientated.
After a complete
breakfast at the hotel, we will visit a typical Catalan market, where the
greatest Chefs go every morning to get inspiration for their art of cooking,
choosing always the freshest.
Then you will have your first cooking lesson with our Chef.
Today's menu will be devoted to traditional catalan cuisine.
This will be followed by a complete menu of what has been cooked, with selected
wines.
After a complete
breakfast at the Hotel we will visit Girona, a city that combines roman, jewish
and medieval architecture. We will see the city, its old quarter and the gothic
cathedral.
Then we will have a daily menu in a restaurant specialised on rice.
In the afternoon
we will visit the medieval city of Besalu, and then we will go back to the
hotel to meet Vicenc for the second cooking class.
In the afternoon
we will visit some medieval villages such as Pals, and then we will be back
to the hotel for a surprise dinner prepared by Chef Vicenc.
