DAY 1
An
English speaking guide will meet you at the airport to take you to your
Hotel right in the heart of Barcelona, where you will be explained
about some of the details of your Tour. For dinner you will have an
assortment of Tapas in a friendly restaurant in the Jewish quarter,
next to the Gothic Cathedral.
After a
complete breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the famous Catalan
market called La Boqueria, on our way down to the famous Ramblas of
Barcelona, and the Gothic Cathedral. After some walking around the Old
Quarter we will have a nice glass of Cava (Catalan sparkling wine)
inside the magnificent Palau de La Musica, a Modernist building made
for Music concerts by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner a hundred
years ago.

DAY 4
For lunch
we will take you to a unique Tapas Bar where some of the best Catalan
wines are served to accompany the specialities of the Chef. Your
afternoon and dinner will be on your own to enjoy the city. We will
happily give you advices on what places to visit.
After a
full breakfast, we will head on to your new Hotel near the Historical
city of Girona, surrounded by nature. It is situated between the
Pyrenees mountains and the Mediterranean sea, close to all the visits
of the Tour. This morning you will have your first cooking lesson with
Chef Vicenç, focused on traditional Catalan recepies. A full lunch of
what cooked will follow with local wines to accompany.
In the
afternoon we will see the fishing boats arrival by the coast and then
how the fishermen sell their capture of the day, and the fish market.
After visiting some medieval villages such as Pals, we will have a wine
tasting in a vineyard, and then dinner in a local traditional Catalan
Cuisine Restaurant.
This
morning, after breakfast, we will go for a visit of Girona, a city that
combines historical periods like the Roman, the Jewish, Medieval, and
Catalan Modernism. We will visit the Gothic Cathedral and the old
Quarter. For lunch today will be a daily menu in one of the best
Catalan cuisine restaurants of the area.
In the
afternoon we will visit the medieval city of Besalu, and we will go
back to the hotel to meet Chef Vicenc for the second cooking class.
Dinner will follow of what cooked, with some good wines.
DAY 5
After a
full breakfast at the hotel we will visit a Chef in his chocolate
factory where you will taste an assortment of chocolate "bombons", to
appreciate his art. Then we will see the process of how to make cheese
with a small producer. The Dali Castle-Museum will follow, where we
will have a traditional lunch.
In
preparation for an amazing tasting menu in a unique restaurant runned
by one of the most talented Chefs of the area, we will take you to the
hotel for a relaxation by the pool, or you can also go for a nice walk
around and discover this beautiful area. Lunch today will be on your
own.
For the last evening of your tour we will take you to one of our favorite restaurants:
La Plaça de Madremanya. Chef Vicenç Fajardo is in charge of all main
dishes. His wife Monica is the sommelier, and they run a beautiful
place in the countryside.

After a
full breakfast at the hotel, we will take you to your train station,
airport or hotel and, hoping that you have spent a wonderfull week with
us.
